At last, Motorola unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Edge 50 family. Featuring a significant overhaul in design, performance, and user experience, this lineup introduces Moto AI, the brand’s first artificial intelligence system, into its devices. Consisting of three distinct models—the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Motorola Edge 50 Pro, and Motorola Edge 50 Fusion—this new series combines a sleek aesthetic with unique designs and premium materials that set it apart. Additionally, continuing its tradition, the series boasts Pantone color validation, with “Peach Fuzz” chosen as the color of the year.
The Edge 50 family devices excel in their sophisticated design and premium materials, featuring the return of real wood reminiscent of the iconic Moto marbled texture. Even the Fusion version boasts a velvet-style finish, providing a luxurious feel when held.
Moreover, this new series maintains Pantone-validated colors, now extending to its screens, ensuring authentic and vibrant color reproduction. With IP68 protection against water and dust, users can enjoy durability and peace of mind, while the slim design and gentle curves offer a unique tactile and visual experience that deserves to be appreciated.
Revolutionary Photography Experience Enhanced by Moto AI The Edge 50 family introduces the most advanced camera system ever seen in a Motorola device, powered by Moto AI. With resolutions reaching up to 64 MP and optical zoom capabilities of up to 3x in the Ultra version, alongside 100X digital zoom, users can capture every moment with astonishing detail and clarity. During our demo experience in Mexico, we were impressed by the level of detail captured by the camera.
Among the notable improvements are features like the Photo Enhancement Engine and Adaptive Stabilization, leveraging AI to automatically enhance the quality of both images and videos. Additionally, the Action Shot feature adjusts shutter speed to capture dynamic movements with precision, ensuring photos remain sharp and blur-free. We found the quality of these features to rival that of high-end equipment from other manufacturers.
