Microsoft has unveiled the next set of games joining Xbox Game Pass in April 2024. This lineup includes six titles, with some exclusives for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Since the beginning of the month, the game library has grown by nine titles. Among the recent additions is Harold Halibut, a captivating narrative adventure featuring stop-motion animation, which debuted on April 16 as a day-one addition to the service.
Hot on the heels of Harold Halibut’s release, Microsoft wasted no time in announcing Wave 2 of its April lineup. The newly confirmed titles include Orcs Must Die! 3, EA Sports NHL 24, and Have a Nice Death. The latter half of the batch comprises Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Another Crab’s Treasure, and Manor Lords. Notably, these three titles were already anticipated as day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass, as their publishers had previously announced exclusivity to the platform.
The upcoming additions to Xbox Game Pass for April 2024 promise an exciting variety of gaming experiences. Leading the pack is Orcs Must Die! 3, a tower defense action game from 2020, slated to debut on April 17. Following closely behind is EA Sports NHL 24, arriving a day later. However, it’s worth noting that while EA Sports NHL 24 requires the EA Play add-on, it will only be accessible to Xbox console owners with an Ultimate-tier membership due to the absence of a PC version.
The lineup is completed by the critically acclaimed roguelike Have a Nice Death, developed by Magic Design Studios. Scheduled for release on April 30, this stylish indie game marks the first traditional roguelike to join Xbox Game Pass in spring 2024. Have a Nice Death received widespread praise upon its original release, with review scores averaging between 77 and 81 on Metacritic.
With a total of 15 new games set to join the service this month, April 2024 stands out as one of the busiest months for Xbox Game Pass in terms of new releases. However, the month also sees the departure of six games on April 15, with an additional six set to leave on April 30. While the influx of new titles adds value to the service, the balance between arrivals and departures reflects the dynamic nature of the Xbox Game Pass library.
